Dr. Brett R. Nelson
Education:

Dr. Nelson has double board certification in both Adult and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). This level of specialization allows him to provide his patients and families with the expertise needed for high quality care. With almost two decades of medical expertise and experience, Dr. Nelson is highly regarded in our patient community for his extensive and compassionate medical care. He has received distinctions in the medical community for improving services and medical care. He has long been interested in and has published research on studies encompassing obsessive-compulsive disorder in children. Dr. Nelson is also part of many organizations including the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and American Psychiatric Association.
Dr. Suzanne Sumida

Dr. Sumida has over two decades of medical psychiatric experience with which she helps a great number of her patients overcome significant mental health challenges. Dr. Sumida is a Double Board-Certified Psychiatrist by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) and is a member of the American Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Prior to joining NYCP, Dr. Sumida enjoyed working with clients on an outpatient basis at Four Winds Saratoga. Previously appointed Assistant Professor in the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine psychiatry department. She enjoys spending time with her horses
Rebekah Nelson, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

- Bachelor of Science in Health Science – SUNY Brockport

Rebekah has been in the nursing field for over twenty years. Most recently, she joined NYCP as a nurse practitioner specializing in mental health care across the lifespan. She is very proactive in the care she provides, taking the time to get to know each of her patients so that she can provide them with the best possible treatment. She currently serves as NYCP's Chief Operating Officer, ensuring day to day operations are run as efficiently as possible. Rebekah has a well-rounded nursing career with extensive experience in Psychiatry and Internal Medicine. She is a member of the American Nurses Association and The Nurse Practitioner Association New York State. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her 3 daughters, as well as gardening, reading, hiking, and camping.
