Carrie started out as pediatric RN (registered nurse) at Four Winds Saratoga almost 15 years ago, where her passion and advocacy for mental health grew progressively year by year. She wanted to be able to do more for her patients and their families, so obtained her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) through Russell Sage College and became a board certified, licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
Through your first couple visits and beyond, Carrie wants to get to know you, not just your symptoms. Carrie believes mental healthcare should start with connection, and feel personal and supportive, that clients should leave their appointments feeling understood, and more importantly, heard. Her goal is to create a warm and welcoming, safe space where you can show up exactly as you are, and feel comfortable, supported, and empowered, along your mental health journey.
Carrie provides compassionate, comprehensive mental health services to adolescents using evidence-based practices to assess and address a variety of conditions such as depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and ADHD. She enjoys working with clients (and their families) through symptom and medication management, to reach attainable treatment goals. Carrie believes in creating individualized plans of care that prioritize client involvement and interprofessional collaboration. She works alongside many skilled and experienced clinicians that she is happy to collaborate and coordinate care with, when appropriate to meet her clients’ needs, developing a treatment plan with continued success that carries outside of our practices' walls.
Carrie is a member of the New York State Nurse Practitioner Association, and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. When not at work, Carrie enjoys being outside, hiking, or on the lake with her family fivesome and 2 dogs.
